Amazing Experience!
We had an amazing time. Our guide, Adhi, met us the evening before at our guest house (Sam’s bungalow) and went through the plan for the next couple of days and everything we’d need to bring. He then met us again after breakfast the next morning. He organised for our bags to be stored whilst we were trekking and off we went.
We saw loads of orangutans and other wildlife during our trek, we had our own personal chef (Andy) who cooked amazing local food for us every day (3 meals a day plus snacks).
Accommodation is basic in a tent (which acts as a mosquito net) inside a hut. If you don’t mind a hard floor then you’ll sleep well after hard days of trekking.
The trek each day wasn’t particularly long (6 or 7 hours) but as the days progressed, the trekking got steeper and harder to climb.
At the end, our guide told us how to get transport to our next accommodation and he organised a private car to take us to the airport.
All in all we had a great few days and would highly recommend Local Guides, particularly Adhi and Andy
