Pick-up at your hotel in Labuan Bajo (or at the airport if you arrive before noon). We drive to Melo village where we’ll see a beautiful panorama of Labuan Bajo, and then continue to Lembor and enjoy the rice terrace fields on the way. We have lunch in Dintor at a local restaurant in the middle of the rice fields. Finally, we arrive in Denge at our homestay where we stay overnight.
Note: Usually we start the tour from Labuan Bajo around 8 am. We could also start the tour up until noon, but then we have to skip Dintor and we have lunch in Lembor.
We have breakfast in the morning at our homestay, and around 9 am we start our trek our journey towards Wae Rebo by the only transportation possible to reach it: by foot. We hike for 2-3 hours through lush green mountain country until we reach Wae Rebo, which is located in a spectacular surrounding.
The villagers work from morning until dusk in the gardens, harvest coffee, process coffee beans, or cook for the village. We immerse ourselves with the peace and beauty of this place, where life is simple and communal. We lunch and dine with the local community and sleep with other guests in a large, traditional house.
We wake up in the beautiful village and enjoy breakfast and a traditional coffee. We say goodbye to the locals and return by hiking to Denge village. From here we’ll continue the journey by car to the Munting spot at Lembor to see the Spider Web Rice Field. Then we visit other rice fields in Lembor before we arrive in Labuan Bajo.
Note: Lunch will be either in Denge, Dintor or Lembor.
