Accommodation

>Home / Indonesia / Bukit Lawang Jungle Trekking / Accommodation

Acommodation in Bukit Lawang before and after our jungle trekking tours are not included in our packages and need to be booked by yourself. You could stay for just a few euros per night in accommodations in the lower price segment. But because of the great value for money, we recommend to stay at a mid- or top range accommodation if your budget allows.

Below is an overview of our recommended accommodations in the mid- and top segment (for a complete list of hotels that can be booked in advance, click here).

BATU KAPAL JUNGLE HOUSES This is our favorite pick. Surrounded by the jungle, a beautiful garden and a river at the doorstep, there is no better way to relax. If you’re lucky, you will even see orangutans cross by to take some fruit from your garden. House is clean and has a modern toilet and bathroom. It is 45 min walk from town through the jungle, so it especially pays out to stay here if you have can stay here at least 2 nights. check it out
HOTEL ORANGUTAN In contrast to Batu Kapal Jungle Houses, Orangutan Hotel is centrally located in the village with lots of restaurants and shops around. The rooms are very comfortable with modern toilets and showers and nice balconies. The rooms are located on the hill side, with a beautiful view over the village and Bohorok River. Ask for a room closer to the bottom of the hill if you have trouble walking up stairs. check it out
INDRA VALLEY INN Run by a very friendly owner Obiwan, this is one of the cheaper options in the mid price-range segment and a great value for money. The hotel is situated next to the river, and therefore you’ll have a great view from your room. Although the rooms are not very modern, they are big and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. This is a great pick for budget travelers that want to have some level of luxury. check it out
